The Bassin d'Arcachon is first of all a geographical curiosity due to its morphology: a bay covering 1500 hectares, fed both by the ocean and numerous rivers. An inland sea with the colours of a lagoon, bordered by a blonde crown of fine sand that peaks at 104 metres.
