We bought this house in February 2006 as a complete renovation project (the previous French owners having covered the entire place with plasterboard to disguise all its character! - As the agent said at the time "they massacred it"). We had the entire roof rebuilt by respected local artisans (at a cost of 42300 Euros) and other small works (main beam replacement in the kitchen - stripping out of some of the plasterboard to expose the character - new timbers in the lean-to roof etc.).
