We bought this house in February 2006 as a complete renovation project (the previous French owners having covered the entire place with plasterboard to disguise all its character! - As the agent said at the time "they massacred it"). We had the entire roof rebuilt by respected local artisans (at a cost of 42300 Euros) and other small works (main beam replacement in the kitchen - stripping out of some of the plasterboard to expose the character - new timbers in the lean-to roof etc.). We are selling now because the works involved in the remaining total internal renovation have become unmanageable for the "prime worker" due to his increasing decrepitude (frozen shoulder, bad back and knackered knee!).
