The village
Verzy is one of only 17 Grand Cru villages in the Champagne region. It lies on the slopes of the Montage de Reims in the National Park of the same name and nestles between the vineyards to the north ansd south and the forest to the west, whilst there are spectacular views eastwards over the plain of Champagne.

Despite its tranquil setting in the Montage de Reims area, Verzy is located on the Route Touristique de Champagne and on a Grande Randonnée walking route and attracts a steady flow of visitors from all over the world all year round. In addition Champagne is an ideal stopping-off point for those travelling to and from the south coast and the Alps. A chambres d'hote operation is provenly viable as has been demonstrated by the current owners.

In marked contrast to many French villages, Verzy with only 1000 inhabitants, is a busy little village boasting a restaurant, bar, 2 traiteurs, 3 banks, 2 hairdressers, a newsagent, a grocer/greengrocer, a fabulous boulangerie, a post office, as well as infant, junior and senior schools. Not to mention dozens of champagne makers

Verzy lies 15 km south of Reims which offers all the facilities you would expect from a major city. Verzy is equidistant from Epernay, the second town of Champagne.

Disneyland Paris is about a hour's drive.
