This lovingly restored turn of the 19th century historic town house has an open outlook on 3 sides, with magnificent views across the Bandiat valley in the Dordogne 'Sous Prefecture' of Nontron.

The charming Marguerite room (16 metres square) has an en-suite bathroom with shower and a small balcony accessed through the original period wooden 'volets' revealing the scenic Bandiat valley below
The large sunny Fuchsia family room (29 metres square) has double and single 'sleigh' beds and an en-suite bathroom with shower. There is a stunning view over the valley.
And the large Primavera family room (25 metres square) also has a double and single bed with an en-suite bathroom and shower
Off the landing there is a large laundry room with original fitted wood panelled cupboards, currently used as the linen store for the Chambres d'hotes.
Third floor
The owner's, 90 square metre, light and airy open plan loft apartment has an American kitchen, two double bedrooms and a modern large shower room and is fully double glazed throughout.
Garden and Swimming pool
The private garden consists of a carefully designed and landscaped garden with a stepped terrace leading to a 10 x 4 metre heated salt water swimming pool surrounded with a wooden sun terrace and steps leading down to gravelled paths that lead you through beautiful shrubs, palms, sculptures and intimate seating areas.
Nontron and the surrounding area
Nontron is a bustling market town of 3,656 inhabitants.
Situated between Limoges (airport 68 kms), Angoulême (station 48 kms) and Périgueux (centre 48 kms).Bordeaux (centre 170 kms) is two hours drive away and can also be reached by TGV from Angoulême in 1 hour.
Nontron is famous for the 'Nontron knife' which has been crafted in the town since the middle ages and to this day in the modern Philippe Stark designed factory and visitor centre.
Every year there is the 'Fete de Couteau' or knife festival which is famous throughout France and the world with 10,000 plus visitors attending the event.
Nontron is situated in the protected Perigord National Park with its rolling hills and stunning views and has many historic chateaux to visit, including Brantome (22 kms) which is known as 'the Venice of the Dordogne'.
