Architect house, Rhône, Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes
Located in the town of Villeurbanne, in the district of Saint-Jean, this 110 sqm house, built in 1994 by the architect Raphael Pistilli, takes place on a 404sqm plot. The project is the combination of two volumes, a half-cylinder and a parallelepiped cut along its diagonal. The half-cylinder fits under the parallelepiped. This composition creates a dynamism of volumes towards the sky. Three materials are used: glass brick, aluminum cassettes and rough concrete blocks. The ground floor is entirely devoted to living rooms. Living room, living room, office and kitchen revolve around the central staircase, an integral element of this achievement. From the floor to the ceiling, the glass blocks bring a constant brightness. Upstairs, where a release hosts a library, 3 bedrooms are the night and share a bathroom with bath and shower. A pleasant garden of 404m² will host the most beautiful summer evenings. In the shelter of the glances, this house is the ideal place for the people in search of peace and quiet a stone's throw away from the banks of the Rhône.
