Lovely historic olive oil mill of 250 m2 dating from 17th century near Nice with a large plot of land, Alpes-Maritimes, Provence-Côte d'Azur
A14004 - This historic olive oil mill is a rare and atypical property having been beautifully restored and revived by an architect in the 1960s. Dating from the 17th century with a traceable history, this large house with a total interior living area of approx. 250 m2 faces south and comprises two wings which are interconnected by a passage in the middle of the building where the old paddle wheel of the mill was located, half of which is still preserved.
The house with its large plot of land of almost 6,000 m2 is situated on a green and quiet hill between the new and old towns of Carros, 20 minutes from Nice Côte d'Azur airport and 30 minutes from the centre of Nice. The old village of Carros, which is one of 16 "Villages Perchés" (Perched villages) in the region, can be reached in 5 minutes by car and or by foot by following the trails passing nearby. Being a well-known tourist attraction, this old village also offers a renowned school for the children of the families living in this area.
